H1N1 information for Emergency Shelters

leftHousing and Urban Affairs continues to work with Alberta Health and Wellness and Alberta Health Services to assist operators and agencies serving the homeless to prepare for a potentital H1N1 influenza outbreak.

Government invests in infrastructure for oil sands expansion

The Government of Alberta is moving forward on an initiative that will see raw Crown land turned into new residential, industrial and commercial developments in Fort McMurray. On September 26, Premier Ed Stelmach, Minister Yvonne Fritz, and Mayor Melissa Blake of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo released plans to develop Parsons Creek and Saline Creek. When complete, these communities will provide homes for 44,000 new residents.
